External frame vs internal frame packs?

What is everyone’s opinion on external vs internal packs for out west hunting and also big timber whitetail hunting? is it worth the extra $ for an external or will internal be just fine.

Most hunting specific external frame packs allow you to separate the frame from the pack to accommodate meat/extra gear and are more versatile. They are also usually more expensive. That being said, people have been hauling meat with internal frame packs for decades. It comes down to your style of hunting and budget.

I would imagine day hunts with not a huge load of gear internal works great but with hauling gear for a multi day hunt external is the way to go
