Federal Syntec Ammo in Glock 19

I shoot a Glock 19 with a Deltapoint Pro red dot. This combination works great for me and I’ve gone through hundreds of rounds without a single jam or doublefeed

but I bought a box of the Federal 9mm syntec ammo and every fourth or fifth shot ends in a jam or double feed. The syntec ammo is designed to be softer shooting so I’m assuming the additional mass of the red dot is precluding the proper cycling of the slide.

I looked online expecting other people experiencing this same issue when shooting syntec with red dots but did not see any comments. Has anybody else seen these results.
