Fletching

Can someone explain the difference between an offset and helical fletching in terms of setting it up on a jig?

I don't quite understand the differentiating factor here.

With an offset I prefer to have a straight clamp and just slightly offset the front a few degrees. With a helical I buy a helical clamp and offset that clamp as much as I can. Of course if you do that you need to take in account both the front and back vane making good contact with the arrow shaft. Here are some pictures to if it helps.
