I worked a case with the USFWS several years ago, suspect being a very wealthy individual. We got him convicted in Federal court on several Lacey Act violations. During the sentencing, the judge stated he was revoked from hunting worldwide for 10 years. His attorneys objected saying that the judge didn't have jurisdiction outside of the US to revoke privileges in other countries. The judge said he had to agree and then ordered his passport forfeited

That judge gets an A for effort, but it's painfully obvious that the southern US border is passable in either direction without a passport. Freak cares as much about the law as the drug smugglers crossing the border at will.

it stood afaik; while not common, not unheard of either in federal cases surrendering your passport- often in conjunction with probation

And that he didn't start a wildfire and end up liable for dozens of crimes. My point in bringing this up is that it's important to understand these influencers' motivations... because like it or not, we as a hunting community will be forced to live with the fallout from scenes they cause.

Looks like the Idaho courts website has been updated, jury trial to start on October 3rd of this year.

I have "reached out" to Kryptek and Camofire/Black Ovis. No response. No more Kryptek for me and I don't even look at Camofire anymore.

I did the same, I’ve emailed BO, deleted Camofire. BO won’t respond I have also replied to their customer service emails stating I’ll buy if you drop MF, and it’s crickets

It is going to be tough to hire someone to edit videos with all the court fees. I am guessing most MF fans don’t notice such things.

possibly, but it was ~ 20 years ago and can't recall the "gentleman's" name- I'm proud to say that I helped convict a shitton of poachers over my 25 years, enough so that most of the names are now lost to me

I emailed Gohunt also and they responded in about 2 minutes with, we are selling out small inventory that they had and had no plans to continue business with them. So with that I buy from them.

We don't generally like these sorts of threads because of the drama and moderation headaches they bring. Several were already deleted. This one stands so far because it has remained mostly civil. So far this thread has earned one permanent ban from me and I'm not sure how many from others. It's probably good its not easily searchable.
