Got skunked

How was everyone's bear opener? I went out and got dumped on by snow, found zero sheds, and saw a mama bear with 2 cubs. Then my dumb dog killed a skunk
One of those trips that was about the experience more than the "success"

I'm fairly certain the bears here woke up, looked around at all the fresh snow and said screw it, I'm going back to bed.

This is her third skunk in as many years, so I think it's safe to say she has not learned her lesson!

I'm just going to suck it up and carry a 1lb skunk kit and assume she's gonna kill one every trip now. Hydrogen peroxide + baking soda + dawn works wonders, but it works better the sooner you can apply it. From now on I'll be ready to apply it asap in the field!
