Who knew that a butter knife could help us be better archers?

Gua Sha is a technique to help with soreness and improve flexibility. If you have ever used a roller on a sore muscle group then you get it…..Gua Sha is a similar, less aggressive Form of massage.

Jake Kaminsky ( olympic medalist) has a good vid out now on his youtube channel Where he explains the technique in detail.

He also discusses it in his book. If you haven’t discovered Jakes channel yet, its a fantastic resource for archers. Worth a look.

Trainers in college used to do this to my right lower knee. Seemed to work.

My physical therapist does a more aggressive form of this called scraping.

Maybe I wouldn't need the scraping if I did some of this regularly. Scraping isn't the most painful thing I've ever had done to me, but it is not pleasant.
