Has anybody been up on the Haul Road yet this year 2022? I am headed up on August 27th for a week, just checking to see if people are seeing any caribou.

I was up there last week. Fewer caribou than 2021; most seemed to be right where they were doing road construction (a little ways north of Galbraith Lake and occupying about 20 miles of road). We spent most of our time just South of Deadhorse. There were caribou up there, but it was hard to find a bull and harder to find a bull someone else wasn't already on. Piles of musk ox and saw 5 griz (sow and two cubs 10 mi south of Deadhorse, young sow a mile or two north of Happy Valley, and a big bruin south of the arctic circle). Good luck!

Last year herds were spread out but mostly between Deadhorse and happy valley. We did get one after 3 days.

Did you have any luck on the Haul road.
Husband is getting ready to head up there on
Tuesday
I did get fortunate enough to harvest a bull! I'll get some pics on here when I download them from my SD card. Didn't see many animals. Most were around Toolik lake when we passed through
