Someone really needs to buy this rifle before I do. I don't need two Howa Alpines, but boy is it tempting. That Bansner stock has become my all-time favorite stock now. It really soaks up recoil.
My 7mm-08 Alpine has replaced my stainless T3 as my go-to hunting rifle, which is saying quite a lot.
They are worth the asking price, and if a person doesn't want the plastic DBM setup, they can find Howa hinged floorplate bottom metal for about $50 on FeeBay all day long.
My 7mm-08 Alpine with the hinged bottom metal, Talley rings and a Weaver Classic K6 scope weighs in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. on my scale. With the plastic DBM setup, it was only 6 lbs. 10 oz. scoped.
The 5 lb. 12. oz weight they have listed is legit.
