like mentioned come in the summer and look areas and have your gear and hike into places and get a feel for it and if its something you can do and do it when its nice out and warm. I dont think Id just toss on a pack with no experience and dive into the Frank in mid to late October and realize your gear isnt right or its more than you can chew

Agree with others here, your better off in another state, we have lost a lot of deer and far from recovering, hunting is tough, Colorado would be your best bet try the units around Craig, a lot of animals in that area
