Kenai Rainbows and Dollys

I may have a few extra days in Anchorage waiting for the transporter to clear the back log. In the past Ive gone down to Cooper Landing and done day trips. They currently have no openings.

Any recommendations for a upper Kenai float trip? Gear included. Thanks

I did a middle Kenai float with Fish Em Alaska last fall (2020). Great trip. I did a float with Mark Glassmaker in 2017, and also had a great day. Also a middle Kenai trip. Give these a call and see if they do the upper section, or can recommend who does. I've found guide recommendations to be pretty solid.

I’d second glassmaker. Good guy and he can farm you out to another guy guy that might not run his own service. If you haven’t reached out to him, I’d try that.

We parked on the highway near the Russian and walked over to the river in July. I only got one Dolly, but it looked like all of the drift boat guys were stopping at the same gravel bars to fish.
