Kuiu Yukon Gaiter Sizing

Looking to pick up a pair of Kuiu Yukon Gaiters and am trying to determine the correct size. I wear a size 11 boot and have chicken legs

Thinking the Large may be the way to go but like the idea of the XL to wear over bulkier items. I won't always just be wearing them with Kuiu or similar mountain wear...

So my question is, any of you chicken legs out there wear the XL? Do they cinch down enough or do they too loose at the top? If they cinch down tight then I may go with the XLs.

Any advice is appreciated!

They should cinch down tight enough but the material will be loose and might make more noise. I have XL size 14 feet and 18 inch calves and fill them out pretty tight.

Definitely buy the large you'll still be able to layer. XL are pretty big you'll need pretty sizable calves to fill them out.

I wear 11.5 boots and have the large kuiu gaiters. They are tight around my boots but have plenty of room above that. I have crossed shallow creeks in them (just around the top of my boots) and didn't get wet.

XL is too big. Stick with the L
