It doesn’t matter. Either will do the job. Your arrow doesn’t typically start spinning until it has cleared your bow.

I've done it both ways and it doesn't make much difference. Keep in mind I'm not a target archery guy so my experience is within my shooting limits.. That being said I have a touch of ocd so I shoot my arrows bare shaft and fletch the direction they want to spin.

not sure who’s a Levi Morgan fan around here but there is no question the dude is a machine when it comes to shooting

Only time I think it matters is if you’re running a single bevel head.
Here’s a video Paige Pierce did which really throws a monkey wrench in the whole process of “clock tuning” shafts
