Hey folks,
Just wanted to say Leki has great customer service/ warranty.
I got a set of Leki carbon fiber trekking poles years ago for free. They were samples and the guide service I worked for as a climbing guide was also a leki dealer, so we got them for xmas. I immediately broke one, being an idiot and new to carbon fiber, by whacking a small dead tree limb. I emailed them, said they were samples, I got them free, I broke them being an idiot, etc.. They said send them in, and I got a new set.
Fast forward 5 years, I lost one during a SAR event at work as a wilderness ranger, then broke the other a few weeks later when my pack llama got stuck in a snowbank. In the ensuing rodeo, it got stepped on, by me, him, them I don't know. Sent the single pole back to Leki, they sent me a brand new set of carbon fiber poles.
I did write my phone number on this new set...
