Last year I had my 22-250 re-barreled to 22-250AI @24". With my can on it it's a little long and heavy, so I'm thinking about chopping it to 20". Before I do, I'm curious about what velocities I might achieve. I'm still in the process of fire forming my brass.

I’m running 22” barrel in 22CM, getting 3180 fps average with 88 ELDM hand loads.

If my barrel were 20”, I’d expect 3130 fps average.

If you figure 20 to 30 fps per inch you will be dang close. definitely close enough to determine if you want to cut it.

Well it's at the chop shop now. I'll find out in a couple of weeks.

I have a 21" 22-250ai that I am fire forming brass with still. I am shooting 60 tmks right now and have 69 tmks as well.

My 26" regular 22-250 barrel shot the 69s at 3400 with reloder 17.

Interested to hear what you get on the formed loads with 69 tmk. Just so you know powder valley has factory seconds rite now
