But was it a solo DIY trip? And how deep did you go?

I had my cameraman/ flashlight holder so not totally solo. I was deep in the living room almost to the kitchen.

A lot of guys would have given up the search. Your perseverance has served as an inspiration to us all during this long long off season.

Like elk, them rodents are tough. They can take a lot of damage to bring them down. I probably bumped him. Should have let him go overnight. Oh wait, I did.
When in doubt, back out. Glad you found him. Way to stay after it.

Ya, I hate it when I move in for the kill and stealthily close the distance to an ethical range......and then "bam" the fly swatter smacks the fly and by some miraculous chance he still gets away. Grrrr.

It didn't have to go this way. Wouldn't have had you been using a tikka T99x pellet rifle with a swfa scope shooting berger pellets with the nose drilled out.

Sheesh don't you know nuthin.
