I have a 3-12 LRHS non illuminated. I just picked up a LRHSI 4.5-18. While the reticle is visible in the 3-12, it and the numbers of the lower tree are not as bold or "large" as the 4.5-18 illuminated. I have adjusted the ocular and parallax.
I set both scopes at the same power and compared the views. I have heard the reticle is thicker on illuminated models but thought I had read it was only the very center that was thicker. Also why would the numbers appear bigger and be more visible?
Is this just a result of the different mag ranges?
