So, I am going on my 2nd moose hunt in Canada. My last trip I just wore my cold weather hunting boots. I am thinking about the Schnee’s Hunter Pack boots in a 13”.
The area is your typical dense forest with many lakes and beaver ponds. We will also be using a john boat to navigate the main body of water to get to the hunting areas.
Are these boots pretty water proof on the leather if treated? Are these pretty warm and comfy? Fit size?
We will probably hike in a few miles at most. Staying in cabin at nights.
Any feedback would be greatly appritiated!
FYI, I hate Muck boots. This is why I am looking into another route.

The problem with a pack boot for moose hunting is if you step in too deep, the whole liner is going to be soaked and that really sucks.

I’d probably just get a lacrosse alpha burley or some creatures or mucks.

Totally agree. One slip getting out of the boat or in some deeper puddles and that pack boot liner is going to make for a loooonnnnnng day.
