$$$, I think I need to go into the bi-pod business. Get a few trekking poles, sawzall, drill and some hardware and you are in business.
What's your time worth? I think you should absolutely buy some trekking poles, tools, and hardware and see what you can come up with. Please post it in our DIY gear section with the list of things you needed and the time it took to make it. Do you have a machine shop? Tag me when you start that thread so I can watch your progress.
