Mule Deer range in Texas

Due to the MeatEater show, I'm considering a mule deer hunt next year as my first hunting outing over whitetail but don't have plans to head to more northwestern states. Beyond what Wikipedia says, approximately how far east into Texas can mule deer usually be found?

Not very east. For the panhandle I wouldnt go east of Childress. There’s some big deer around Lubbock but not as many deer as other parts of the state. Then in far-west tx/ big bend I wouldn’t go east of Sanderson or fort Stockton.
