Might be switching to Barnes!

They work!

CVA Optima .50
Thor 250 (same projectile as a T-EZ but with a gas skirt versus sabot)
777

Got crushed in spike camp at 12 grand overnight by a pretty crazy storm, decided to stay out and see if they were moving after that front rolled through. They were indeed. 22 yards, anchored him. Incredible animal, incredible experience.

How many grains of Blackhorn 209 are you using in your Accura?
Still trying to dial mine in.
Thanks.
I’m in CO now so I just shoot max 84 gr by weight since I can’t tell the difference between groups with open sights. I did some grouping 10+ years ago in Kansas when I was hunting with a scope and I think I was around 75 gr of blackhorn with the TMZ 290s. That was all 3 shot groups though so who knows how true it was. I couldn’t imagine shooting 10 shot groups through a muzzleloader though. I got down to MOA at 100 yds with a 3-9 scope on the gun and it was closer to 6” groups with 2 pyrodex pellets and power belts.

I’m usually shooting roughly 3” groups at 100 now with open sights which is fine for me on elk to 200.
