My pard and I ran some plates out this morning for a quick shoot. We had them from 750 to 1520.
I brought some chassis and lr stocked stuff and my old reliable m70 300win in a bart 2b/edge hunter stock and off a harris. We beat on the close stuff for a bit and as the wind picked up to 13-14 decided we better swing for the fence.
My m70 hasn't fired a shot since I killed my last elk last year. I input the data and ploped into the prone to let fly. First and 3rd rounds on the 1520yd 10" gong with the second a damn close miss.
It's funny to see a very plain rifle in the company of some bigger money iron just flat perform. That rifle is what I grab on clutch days when I can't afford another day and need to make meat.
