I previously owned a CA Ridgeline and foolishly got rid of it and have been wanting a new one for a while. Was looking for a 280 ai or a 6.5 PRC, but when the opportunity came along from a fellow Rokslide member on this 270 - I jumped on it!

Topped it with a proven SHV 3-10X42 from another rifle, and set it in Warne Mnt Tech Rings. Also replaced the bolt knob with a larger one from PTG..

Going to fling 150 LRAB's out of it. These bullets launched at 3k- even at the corrected .525 BC that you will get out of a 10twist, turns this into a 7/800 yard rig in the right hands. 8 pounds 4oz wont suck while hiking around on the edge of the Frank Church country...

Will be playing with R26 and 7977 in an attempt to wring out maximum performance. Very excited to start playing with this rifle. Will be using it for all fall Idaho hunts this year.

Not to derail the thread but does CA still offer that stock pattern?

I don’t guess you haven’t heard that 270’s aren’t cool and they bounce off stuff. It’s grandpa’s gun. Old skool. Lame.

Unless of course you don’t care about flat brims and all the Internet truth out there.

Cool rig.

That's why its closely backed up by creedmoor - that way I can be on both sides of the isle....

Be careful...they might fight. I tried those LRAB’s and they shot well in mine, nowhere near 3K but nice groups.
