I’m going solo up to units 78, 105-109 next week on an archery cow hunt. This will be my first archery hunt and first Nevada hunt. I’ve read what NDOW posted about the area. It seems like Spruce Mountain has the highest elk density. Does anyone have any tips or more data? I was thinking to glass and look for water pockets, but I’m not sure if I should maybe cruise the flats looking for tracks where the herd is trying to feed on private land. Should I treat it like a desert hunt sitting water or a mountain hunt glassing? Here is the NDOW link. Thanks in advance.
