Last year we had had enough of shaky tables or worse, tables that were super low and caused you to hunch forward in unnatural positions for shooting.
My brother and I went to work and came up with a plan, bought all the material and went at it.
Im not going to post the step by step pics due to how long it takes, but you'll get the idea.
First was the table top form.
Pipes shown were welded onto the rebar. These pipes will drop into the blocks that are filled will cement.
A 6x5 platform was then measured out and leveled.
Because we are all in the 6'2+ range, the blocks would have sat a few inches to low for us to shoot in a comfortable position, so we made a couple molds and reenforced them with rebar.
Next was the hard part, Lifting the table top on.
A huge thank you to mr cement mixer even though you could only mix ONE bag at a time because the cheap chinese made crap couldnt handle more
This project cost just a little over $360 in materials. Later on we coated the floor and the entire bench with an epoxy coating for easier clean up and a little extra protection. A covered roof and partial side wall was added later, driving the cost up to a little over $700.
Epoxy coating,
