I purchased a new Savage Axis XP Compact/Youth in 6.5 CM for my son, but heading a different direction.
Rifle was $425 shipped to Los Ranchos Gun Shop, where I believe it just arrived. I think they charge $35 FFL fee, so all together I'm in it for about $460. The local gunshops I spoke with said they hadn't seen many youth hunting rifles come in, nor did they expect any...
