Looking to trade my Nikon 200-500 f/5.6 VR lens for a G2 Tamron 150-600, or sell for $650.
I paid over $1k for it 9 months ago. Used in good condition, these typically sell for $1000.
I bought this last summer, used but in excellent condition, from Precision camera in Austin. On my very first bird photo trip out, I must have set it down on a rock without knowing it, and chipped a tiny spot on the housing. I have no idea how it happened. I covered the spot with electricians tape and have been using it that way for 9 months with zero issues. Honestly I've forgotten all about the chip, but I wanted to be sure to mention it up front.
Glass is clean and scratch-free.
I used the gen 1 Tammy for 5 years, and wanted to try this 200-500 5.6 Nikon for a change of pace. It's sharper than my Tammy was.
Here are some recent images I took with this lens. Happy to provide more images on request.
