Four guys + stove + gear for a week rifle elk hunting approx. 3 hour horseback ride to base camp.
Currently have a 16 x 20 wall tent but with the internal frame it's just waaaay too heavy & bulky for the outfitter's restrictions for the horses.
We've been researching alternative tent options such as aluminum frames or one with the "traditional pole system" to lighten the load.
We considered doing a smaller main tent with a "normal" separate tent for gear, food, firewood, etc.
We all hunt before daylight to past dark so the tent to us is just a warm dry place to sleep, not a place to hang out, cook big meals & socialize and we don't mind disassembling our lightweight cots, etc.
Probably can't go smaller than 12 x 12 for the main tent. If weight restrictions weren't an issue we would go with 14' x 16' internal frame.

I like the looks of the Elk Mountain Yukon tents. There's only one center pole (which we could cut on site) and an "A" frame pole for the door. The 16' diameter model is equal in area to a 14' x 14' wall tent & only weighs 70lbs.
There doesn't seem to be any info online for this tent other than a small amount on their website.
Curious as to where the stove jack location is & how the floor zips out to accommodate the stove, etc.
Has anyone had any experience with this tent?
We determined that we don't wanna go the light weight SO tipi route or similar.
Thanks in advance for the info!
