Was hoping to get some information from people who have hunted Stone sheep in the last couple of years. Happy to hear from people who have harvested and were unsuccessful. Feel free to message me and we can talk offline if you prefer. Thanks for the consideration!

Type hunt, rifle/bow
horseback, or fly in back pack
how far out, a year, two, three
any cost considerations and or size
the planning and research is as important as the conditioning and mental fortitude.
Have you been, plan to go to Sheep Show?

We saw lots of sheep.Lots of Rams.
My son is scheduled also to go in 3 years.
Any questions Let me know and we can talk more.
I’ve been in on 12-14 sheep hunts and just need a desert to be finished.

I’m also interested in a Stone sheep hunt. Hope u guys can help. Been considering another Dall hunt but would like to get some advice on who to consider for stone (maybe both). Horses are fine. Love backpacking so that’s fine too. Just looking for a few good solid outfitters to consider. May need to consider a Dall based on Stone prices I’ve been seeing at $60k but would try to make it happen in the next few years. If Dall, trying to make sure it a great adventure in Canada or northern AK. Just back from a mountain-style Moose hunt south of aniak and it was a better overall experience than the Chugach hunt (even though ended with a B&C ram

Hey, any pics from your hunt there or the rams you guys took? Archery or rifle hunt?

Sorry
I am way past posting pictures.
Too much finger pointing and drama over the years if you show something really nice.Rifle hunt
Also,I am hearing from numerous sources some of the guides are raising prices on hunts booked
From COVID on.
And They won’t refund your money after you supposedly locked your prices in.But are adding big jumps.
I guess this is a BC thing cause I have not heard anyone in Alaska doing this.
Interesting Several of the big name outfits have or are in the process of changing hands.
That makes a guy nervous if they don’t still have their experienced guides.

Yep, prices are jumping big time for stone's sheep hunts. No doubt about that!

Congrats on the hunt regardless
