Scope Mounting a holographic on a hunting rifle

I know this is common in police/military uses but has anyone mounted something like a trijicon rmr on their scope for hunting purposes? I want to do it on my .300 win mag but I'm afraid the recoil will be too much for the sight.

I can actually answer this!

I don't use an RDS for hunting purposes on a bolt gun, however, an RDS would be completely fine with the recoil. There are many instances of RMRs dealing with being slide mounted on a handgun and run just fine. Also in the same wheelhouse, RMRs get mounted on the SCAR and survive which is known for killing optics.
