Squeaky cable guard

I have a squeaky cable guard that makes noise when I draw. It's worse when it's real cold. What can I do to remedy this?

Clean the cable rod. If it’s a plastic cable slide I’d replace it with a good Teflon slide.

Where can you get one of those? You just take it out right; no bow press?

I had this issue on a hoyt. A good cleaning of the cable rod fixed the issue completely. I eventually changed t he cable slide but a good cleaning should clear up your problem.

clean everything as stated above. Also a touch of graphite powder dry lubricant will help too.

You can replace the cable slide without a press but it’s much much easier with one.
