Once heard a guy at the gun store telling someone that the 6.5 creedmoor wasn't good for deer hunting because it was so fast that the bullet didn't have time to expand and just went straight through without killing the deer. That's why he lost a bunch of deer.

That singular black bear that wandered through Davenport four years ago was probably a DNR plant also lol...Although, I wouldn't mind a huntable bear population in the NE corner/driftless region of the state.

Gunstore employee with a open top cross draw leather holster told me that Iowa DNR had been releasing wolves to limit the deer population.
