Videos I’ve been watching lately show guys ditching stuff sacks on all their stuff and just cramming it all in to their packs. I would think a stuff sack would help keep it better organized, but do they actually take up more room? What do you guys do? Keep it in the stuff sack or just stuff it in the pack?

It is not a wrong or right way. Tried both and I prefer small lightweight dry bags or a ziploc to organize.

I get less anxiety looking at a basket full of laundry if its folded in neat piles... just sayin.

That said I like stuff sacks 👍

I can stuff my Western Mountaineering 20 degree long bag, a thermarest neoair x therm, a sheet of tyvek, a western mountaineering down pillow, and my Kifaru Paratarp all into one Kifaru Large 5 string stuff sack.

That sits in the very bottom of the bag perfectly and I think I would have a harder time trying to shove all that into the bottom of the bag without the sack.
