So I guess I'll post this up here in case others are thinking about getting into long range shooting from the scout or general purpose community. My goal with this project was NOT to get the best set-up for long range shooting. My goal was to find the performance limits of my Steyr Scout without losing the things I like about the Scout. I wanted to have a true general purpose rifle like the Scout, but modified and equipped in such a way that it is still light, handy and capable of all the scoutty things I like to do but also be able to engage targets out past MPBR with some degree of regularity. I think I'm on the right track.
