Texas public land buck down

I was lucky enough to kill this buck on Texas public land this year. And yes, we have a little public land in the lone star state.

Nice buck congrats! Gotta admit I was kinda surprised to hear public land in Texas
There’s not much land to hunt here, I think 94% of the state is private and not all public is open to hunting. I hunt what I can but mostly go out west

little over a million acres, not including tidal flats. There is just about a 200” deer taken ever year on Texas public. just seldom hear about it for good reason. A guy did an article, couple newspapers, and several forums on a 190 something he killed and cause a guarantee draw with left overs to good luck. He screwed alot of people. His deer wasnt even close to being the biggest taken of that particular area

I think I know who you’re talking about. Hunters in Texas really don’t seem to understand the damage they do by naming places. They give way too much info out online.
