No idea. Took the brake off to shoot suppressed. Bought some cheap thread protectors from Amazon and just use that for when the suppressors are in storage or on other guns.Cool , does removing the brake affect POI?
That would have been good to know. The heat gun only took a few minutes though, and I didn't want to mess something up.The brake has wrench flats. I've taken 3 of them off with a cresent wrench only. They are only on there with 30 to 40 foot pounds. Just enough you can't break it free with your bare hands.

The poor man's precision rifle doesn't suck.
The only issue after one range session is that the bolt doesn't want to close on an empty Pmag. Zero issues with aluminum GI mags or Lancers, and I have a bunch of 10 round Lancers.

Same.P Mag is the only one I’ve had issues with.
I used Lancers today, and will try and snag a few of the "flush fit" Duramags if they become available.Same.
I greatly prefer Lancer and DuraMag in mine

I saw that. Maybe a couple weeks ago.
A budget line for the budget line. Ruger gets me.![]()

Glamour shot of the new "Poor Man's Precision" rifle.

It sounds great with my Polonium on it, and I'm re-thinking replacing the stock. OEM appears more than adequate for intended use.
Huntsman is a bad influence though, and it will get a Jard trigger. I'm going to wait until I can try the Duramag flush fit magazines before thinking about converting to AICS.
It was a little front-heavy, but easy to shoot offhand even with the bipod. Not nearly a big enough issue to buy the stock weight kit.Looks good, how does it balance out with the suppressor?

Bolt fluting won’t make it worse, make it better? Who knows who cares, again it’s only an improvement. What’s your issue with the ring spacing? How will fluting the bolt help with feeding? Is there a reason for not maxing out the ring spacing?
