Can we talk you out of that?
It took a while to get back on that one haha.
I’m joking. This is just a project for me, so I’ll look for something down the road. I’ve got swfas on my two main rifles now.

You can do pretty much anything on a Tikka provided it wasn't something like a 6mm STW. Any 3.340" or under cartridge would work. On a regular .472 bolt face you could even do a fast twist .240 Weatherby Mag which would be sweet as anything, already has a long throat as Weatherby cartridges do for the long bois (just need to be diligent around load development). All you would need is a "long action" magazine and bolt stop.

That said, 6mm Creedmoor is the easy button if you want to shoot factory ammo with heavy-for-caliber bullets. That one would be a straight rebarrel. If you already reload, the new 1:8-twist .243 T3X rifles look like a sweet option. A few others have settled on 1:8 for the .243, Remington being one of them. Hope this catches on.
