Tikka t3x build

Building a Tikka t3x 7 rem and purchased a Mtn tactical lower can’t find a smaller 3 round mag that fits and has a coal of over 3.475 max length of mag can be 3.715. Any recommendations?

Ah, the Tikka LA conundrum. Sounds like you bought the Gen2 LA AICS bottom metal? If so, the 3 round Accuratemag 300 win mag 3.715" AICS magazine should fit. The pro to this is it will allow you to load VLD style bullets long, the con is that the allowance for a longer COAL now surpasses the opening of the action port. So if you're loaded longer than that or your following rounds scoot forward from recoil, the nose of the bullet will get caught under the edge of the action port when feeding..

Maybe the action port could be safely opened up by a gunsmith to allow for the longer COAL, but at that point I was mad enough I decided to scrap that project and go back to a BDL..

Probably should of went 7wsm,7saum or Sherman Max in a tikka action

Curtis Custom makes a 3 round mag that’ll fit 3.625
