I’d go Toelke purely for the Super D.
Their popularity is soaring, recent wait times have been more in the six month range! Both great.
If wait time is an issue Toelke is probably going to be better…..usually a month.
BW makes some models that have a heavier riser that Toelke doesn’t make.
So it depends what you are looking for
Oh wow….for the longest time they would crank them out in a month.Their popularity is soaring, recent wait times have been more in the six month range!
True, now that they don't offer the 3 piece Lynx, it has a ton of mass!Oh wow….for the longest time they would crank them out in a month.

I think if I wanted a bow with less mass in the riser portion I would go Toelke, but if I wanted a heavy riser I would do BW.

Probably just fewer guys shooting them on here. They're good bows. I have a couple buddies that love their Bob Lee bows.I'll check that out. I'm just getting back into it. I shot trad bows years ago and recently pulled out my old bear grizzly, then grabbed a bear super kodiak which is ok. Now after going down the rabbit hole and seeing all the new bows out there right now I'm looking to score a few high end bows, one recurve and one longbow. As much as I'd like to try them all, that just isn't in the cards so I want to be sure what I buy will make me happy. A Toelke whip is Definetly at the top of the list. I don't see much love for Bob Lee bows around here, why is that?
I’ll leave this here. 52#64” bw plx. Shoots like a dream View attachment 314519
I actually love the Widow PMA shot feel *once I put a quiver on it*. The limbs are the tiniest bit shocky without some vibration dampening. But it is flat out forgiving, specifically because of the extra mass in the riser. I have a buddy getting an SS with the 10x grip soon, and in a similar draw weight to my Widow. I'm really interested to see which one I like better with the new Toelke grip option. So why are you stuck between just those two bows? Neither a bad choice mind you they’re just kinda different feeling and shooting. I’ve never shot a Widow I wanted to rush home from work the next day and shoot again. They shoot ok but IMO there seems to be something about them I don’t like.
Last fall I hunted almost exclusively w a Whip, not a true longbow but I’d rather shoot that than the widows sitting right next to them.
To each his own, try n see if you can shoot both somewhere and decide for yourself. Not everyone has same likes

Is Morrison still putting out bows. He was getting into ILF about the time I put my bow down. I had his Shawnee model and it was the nicest bow I owned.
I think that’s possibly what I don’t like, the mass, bulk, weight. Thank God they make all typesI actually love the Widow PMA shot feel *once I put a quiver on it*. Same here it was just to much riser to shoot for long hours with. That is where the Toelkes shine for me. shoot great and easy to carry and shoot without all of the bulk.
I agree, but I also like to shoot the long shots at the 3d shoots etc, even with a quiver full of arrows, it's harder to keep your line on the long shots, not really noticable on hunting range shots I'm willing to take, but go shoot 70-100 yds and the lack of mass is noticable if you don't do everything just perfect, but I don't want to trade!I think that’s possibly what I don’t like, the mass, bulk, weight.
