Twist-Locks vs Flip-Locks

I have both and it really depends on what I am doing, glassing out of the truck and doing 5 setups an hour mostly standing up I would take flip locks all day every day, they are just so much faster and easier to adjust. Backpack hunting I would probably go with the twist locks since most of my glassing is from a seated position where I am not extending the tripod a whole lot.

Flip lock fan here. I feel they are more user friendly, but that is personal preference. Also, a huge benefit to the flip locks is that most models will have a tension screw for the collar. So when wear occurs or when in hot or cold weather you are able to adjust how tight you want each collar. I definitely appreciate this kind of customization with a flip lock and not have to grab and twist and grab and twist to achieve the same tension.
