Has anyone had good luck with bear in a rain situation? i’m doing a back country hunt this weekend and it’s calling for some showers/rain. Now it’s not a deciding factor wether or not I’m going because either way i’m going to be putting boots on the ground. Just curious to what your guys experiences are out there. Lately i’ve been seeing them come out evening time feeding on berries at about 5,000 ft elevation 2 weeks ago. Wondering if they will continue the same pattern. This mountain range peaks at 5600’.

Yup bears will be feeding rain or shine to put on weight before hibernation. Some will argue they will be more active during the day since there is no moonlight due to clouds cover. And the cool temperatures will get them going too
If you're seeing them in the same area consistently they should be there in the rain
I'd highly recommend getting micro spikes for your boots if your gonna be in the steep alpine meadows
