What did you do in the reloading room today?

Set up my new RCBS RC Supreme and started processing 6arc brass as well as making reference cartridges for 80gr ttsx and 108 eldm. Just need to grab some 95gr LRX for testing.

Finished the last of my bulk prepping of 5.56 Lake City brass yesterday - trimmed, chamfered, deburred, and primed 500 cases (had about 1k cases). A bit of work, but I wanted to uniform everything as much as possible. Now on to loading the 69 TMK for rock chucks!

Tumbled lube some .358 semi wad cutters that need to be sized. Took a friend @2 1/2 gallons of maple syrup the other day and he pulled out the bullets, wasn’t expecting that.
He got them after a guy moved out of his rental property.

Not quite today, however. Picked up a couple hundo 6mm 80 VT's for my 1:7" 6x45...

They needed Moly so a quick ride in the RCBS tumbler .

Then a rub down on one of the little woman's once white Gucci bath towel's... grin.

Load a few to find pressure...

Just curious but why the moly process. It’s not something I see a lot of people do these days?

Also curious on how those 80s shoot for you out of that 6x45, keep us updated. I really want to build one but have too many irons in the fire these days.

Modified the decapping pin on my debating die and full length sizing die because Lapua insists on using stupid undersized flash holes. Nothing some sand paper and a drill couldn’t fix though
Then sized 96pcs of 6 creed

Loaded up a quick pressure test for a new to me Tikka 6.5PRC.

ADG Brass
N565
210m
Berger 156’s
CBTO: 2.335
Going up in .5 increments from 56-59.

My last PRC settle in right at 58gr with the same components but it was a Seekins.

Moly's benefits to me have been once the bore is initially sterilized I never touch a cleaning rod again and there's no CBS issues. But I also use good brass a good powder that grants a high load density and .003-.004" neck tension. Consistency being king and in combination I typically see low ES/SD values and nice groups. It's always worked so I always do it.
I will update progress on the 80 VT's on paper and critters going forward.

Tikka actions can have pressure signs show up earlier than others, 59 with a 156 sounds pretty spicy. I ran up to 59 with a 143 on new brass and ran it at 58, with formed brass I had to drop the charge because 58 was fairly stiff bolt lift. Interested to see where you land.

Was thinking the same thing... keep seeing people posting similar loads, but in my Seekins Element and Peterson brass, N565 and 143 Bondstrikes were hitting pressure at 59.5 gr.
