Shot my Kimber hunter pro 6.5 creed for the first time today. Tried without a muzzle break and then with the radial brake that came with it. Couldn’t really notice a difference in recoil. I know the ti pro brakes are some of the best at reducing recoil and would like to try one out. Probably a 3 or 4 port. The Kimber barrel is like a .550 or something like that but I’m not sure how much it matters matching the diameter. Also the threads are 7/16x28 but they sell an adapter for 5/8x24. I’ve read about the 7/16x28 threads not being strong enough for self timing brakes, but would the adapter change that? Or would I need to have a gunsmith install it, and would I need to get it tapered down to match the barrel diameter?

I recommend having one of these timed as it's already matching threads. Stacking tolerances on muzzle devices isn't a great idea. It's a good lil brake. My woman had one on her Tikka 65cm superlite for a few years.
