Occasionally I dream about building a new 7mm something or another. I think I found a way to talk my way out of it.....

Shoot groups like this with my current .280! Why would I want anything else!

That’s 3 from cold bore at 530 yards off a bipod and no rear bag. Do the math, thats .25 MOA horizontal and .070 MOA vertical. Not bad in a 8-10 MPH wind using the BDC dial on a VX5.

Custom dial that reads in yardage instead of MOA or mils. Dial dial to the yardage and shoot.

BDC can be both. Reticle is most common but Leupold’s CDS is a BDC that you dial. @THLR has a thread already on this and has some videos that explain it.

Bullet Drop Compensation can be used to describe both dials/turrets and reticles.
Leupold calls their version CDS Custom Dial System, Blaser uses QDC Quick Distance Control, Zeiss ASV etc.

Really nice colour in the rifle, blends nice! Cerakote I presume?

yep the smart move is if you have something good, to stick with it. but most of us ain't so smart and go for better and/or different. but more is always better!

I plan on building another 6x45 in the future. It will be a 18” suppressed build.

Rifle specs:
Tikka T3X action
Proof 24” Sendero lite 8.4 twist
AG composites Privateer
Mountain tactical bottom metal
168 Nosler ABLR @ 2850
Rifle and stock Cerakoted in one of my custom colors.
