Torn ligaments in my shoulder meant I couldn’t wear a wetsuit. Guy was eaten by a shark 200 yards from this spot the day before. Best wave on earth. This was after it backed off a bunch

Wife 20 weeks pregnant. Ended making the semifinals in an international longboard contest.



Days like these. Oh man. 7.2 earthquake wrecked this spot for good. Worth the trip halfway around the world
