Just for fun, what's everyone's thoughts regarding the social/political/global "scares" and the potential effects/results? Who's moving to the bunker? Which of you are moving forward as planned? Who's like, "Spring Turkey, shed hunting, fishing and fall are just around the corner! Can't stop me now!"

Do you think there could be an effect on travel for hunting/fishing this year? Is it going to change your intentions?

Anything can happen, good thing the country is filled with people who have lots of common sense and do not panic easily......

Everyone panics then don't do a thing. Just wait for the sky to fall and bemoan someone else for not doing something to stop it.

What scares me more than the world we live in now is the world we will live in if only the "prepper" types survive.

I just keep buying more and more stocks. The market might be down for a while but I can wait it out and I also think this is way overblown. Time will tell but I’m not doing anything different except diverting more funds into my brokerage account.

The only thing that worries me about the market is "what if" it's just starting to price in a Bernie win in Nov and has nothing to do with this virus going around? That would get amazingly ugly.

The virus doesn't concern me at all. So only 85k people in China out of what......1.5 billion people have gotten the virus so far? That's literally .0056% of their population. That's like 20k people getting it in America. We've had almost that many people die this past year just from the flu already........not to mention the millions that actually got the flu. This virus is nothing in comparison.

I did mention to my wife yesterday though that we should start seeing some really sweet travel deals here shortly. Might have to take advantage of a few of those.

This is totally corona virus driven. Fears of production stopping in China, the Fed lowering rates, and panic on top of panic. If we all feel the Bern the market certainly wouldn’t like it too much but we are far from the market pricing in him winning anything.

I`m in the "can`t stop me now" group. I have no bunker to hide in and September is right around the corner. However, I`m not flying to go elk hunting. Just got to drive 12 hours in the truck with the wife.

The bond market has been pricing in some sort of slowdown even before this virus appeared. So even without the virus something was on the horizon it didn't like. I've been waiting for this pullback since early January, but was expecting the normal garden variety 7-8% pullback. I went to all cash in my Roth in early Feb and about 50% cash in my other accounts. So I might start nibbling here soon. I actually bought a couple things yesterday at the close.

Honestly I think the scare of it is total distraction from all the hierarchy of Hollywood, music, and politics slowly getting taken down by the Trump Train. It keeps on rolling baby.

However I’ve definitely kicked my gun buying and ammo buying into high gear in case there really is an outbreak. Not playing games here in Northern PA.

There's a better chance of an asteroid hitting earth than Bernie winning the presidency... trust me on this.. He'll never make it to election day cause the Dem's hate him more than our side does. He'll commit Arkancide before November

I`m not trying to be disrespectful here. However, I have learned in my old age to never say never. We must stay on top of things.

At first I thought so too. However, when you promise everything for free, there are a lot of folks that think he'll cure their debts. I don't put much weight in polls, but one indicated that 70% of millennials would vote for the socialist.

I recently saw a short clip online where a lady was at a Bernie rally wearing a sign around her neck with $226 written on it. She was interviewed and stated that she can't wait for Bernie to get elected as the $226 signified her student loan debt of $226K!!!!
