Wiggys Vs. Waders

I am looking at a 2025 NBR caribou hunt and wanted to get input on wiggys vs waders. I already have a pair of simms g3 stocking foot guide waders and boots and was seeing if anyone had worn waders during their hunt how it handled walking through the tundra Vs using my hunting boot and gaiters with wiggys for water crossings.

Just depends on how much you will use them. They worked well for me. They will keep you dry and don't weigh much or take up much room.

if you are doing more then a couple stream crossings or walking through stuff thats to deep for boots and gaiters just bring wading pants.

walk too far in waders and you’ll be soaked from sweat. Better off packing crocs for stream crossings imo. Make good camp shoes too.

The Wiggy's are okay for mild day use but I would not rely on em in the NWT. A lot more crossings there.

Don't know your exact situation but I went with full zippered breathable stocking foot waders on my last Alaskan moose hunt and loved them. Zipper access was great for pee breaks and ventilation. I could see wader pants working also. Loved the stocking foot style with boa lace wader boots. I will never use anything else.
