Hi Folks,
I am stuck in Ca so we have to use copper bullets. Also we cant order ammo we want to use online for specific hunting needs. So between it not being a hunting state, no hunting shops with in 200 miles, copper only bullets, and no online purchases you get what you can when you find it at best. I am not set up to build loads as of yet, but may in the coming years. Not an option yet.

So all that to say, I found Winchester Razor Boar XT in .308 150grain. Basically what I typically hunt blacktail with. My elk tag should work out this year and with the late expansion for thick hide boar or the ammo...I am thinking these might work out well for a cow elk hunt.

What is your thoughts on this one?

Absolutely. That ammo will be fine, provided you don't use it for long range work (no ballistics provided so I'm going to guess less than 500 yards). The beauty of copper monos is that hardly any of them completely come apart so you'll usually get an exit or at least up against to far side. I would shoot a cow with confidence with these.
