I was supposed to be in Mexico chasing Gould's turkeys with a recurve but that hunt was cancelled due to wildfires in the area we were going. On the plus side, that meant I wouldn't miss the opening of Missouri's squirrel season. I got powder and shot all measured out the day before and was ready to go Saturday. I wasn't able to get out until that afternoon but I killed one behind the house in short order. It gave me a chance to try out my new squirrel holder. The jury is still out on whether or not it speeds up the skinning process.
I was busy cooking for my daughter on Sunday but was able to get out again Monday morning for about an hour. I added two more to the pile leaving approximately 1.27 bazillion in the woods for further outings.
