So I own land in my home town prime bear country in Price County Wisco which is also a part of Zone A. We have more B&C entries than everywhere else and the adjoining counties are in 2nd and 3rd place. So its pretty sweet. I currently have a couple bombers on camera just from my deer scouting. Follow along I hope you enjoy my updates as I go along. HMU if you have questions I'd be glad to answer!

Great looking bear. How many points did you have to draw zone A? I have 3 points as a nonresident and will likely try to draw zone D in a few more years. I don’t think I’m gonna hold out for zone B even though I grouse hunt up there and love it, just too many points to draw it. It’ll be interesting to see what the new bear management zones for 2021 do to the required points needed to draw the respective zones.

Good Luck! My wife drew a zone A tag as well...she had 10 points, I had 8 points and did not get drawn.

Good luck to her also, the draw stats show nobody with less than 9 points drew and only 75% of those were lucky. Including myself with 9

I drew zone B this year excited for my first chance to bear hunt
Thats a great area, we have guys with hounds who hunt that area and do very well. I may be able to put you in touch with them.

PM me their contact info. Planning to bait first this year, but could hunt with them when dogs open later. Thanks.

Lots of bears in B. I drew 2017. With 9 points. Ended up taking a bear bear just breaking 300lb. Passed 4 bears multiple times before bigger one showed up. The two I was hoping for never showed during shooting hours. Be patient. You waited this long for a tag you can be picky early in season. Good Luck.

Thats a great bear in your pics. My brother drew Zone A 2 years ago with 8 pts, he shot a giant bear that just missed Boone. I am currently at 6 points so I will be waiting a few more years before I start applying for a permit. Goodluck this fall!
