The above is what the CO web site says..... but it's clearly in the book.
Guess no...
Did NOT draw Alaska Goat. $190 donation..... oh well.
I was drawing for the not so mountainous terrain.
They have other OTC tags, but it's a wet nasty hunt.
Anyone ever do a Spanish Ibex. Seems very doable, except what do I do with my rifle when I visit Madrid, Barcelona, & other tourist stuff?
I'm leaning towards the outfitters rifle.
I have endless Raccoons. I have literally taken 75 Coons off 1 acre. Yes, I am backed up to state land, but the coon population is ridiculous.
If I really try, I can put 3 sets next to each other, and I'd have 2 coons by morning.
Anyone else have a ridiculous population of coons ...
Anyone have a problem with them? I sent them fur 2 years ago. Paid them, never received my fur back.
Now I have to chase them to get my money back, and I lost furs.
I'm pondering my 2024 hunt. I have a few Elk, 1 Moose, Aoudad, few Deer, 1 Antelope. I even have my on range Oryx filled.
What is 1 to do for 2024 ???
Thinking of a Texas free range exotic. I know they have Simitar Oryx & Black Buck running around which are low fenced.
Not...
I have a lot of sheep hunting stuff, brand new. I drew a CO sheep tag, but my mom passed just at the beginning of the hunt.
I have O2 in a can for 10,000'+ elevations. 20F Sleeping bag, sleeping pads, gaiters. Everything you would need to hunt Sheep.
It's not like I'll draw another sheep tag...
I have these in a 38T. Used 4 times in a blind. Being I mostly hunt from a blind, I don't need fancy camo. $100 includes shipping in the USA. Will send pictures upon request.
Optifade Open Country is the camo pattern...
My plans for the Oct 1st opener got derailed when my Mom passed. I normally hunt opening day, because it's a 200 yard shot on opening day.
Now that they are all skittish after being shot at, what distance will I have to shoot on the last 2 days of the month?
I went with the Crispi Briksdal NG GTX. Not sure what the NG stands for, but it has 200g insulation.
Very very stiff boots. Like I need to start wearing them now for September.
also, they run very small. Had to return a bunch of them, until I ordered 1 size larger than what I normally...
Leaving from the east coast, driving to CO, NM, and WY to hunt.
I understand NM is a complete disaster leaving valuables in your truck. My guide pre-warned me about all of NM.
So I'll be unloading my gear every night into a hotel room which is ridiculous, but necessary.
What about CO &...
Any recommendations on sheep hunting boots? CO elevations 10,000'.
Last hike, I wore my lightweight snake boots that are extremely comfortable & tough. Waterproof as well. But they are high.
I'm thinking something lower, very light weight. Not overly insulated.
When I got my Ram, we climbed to the top of a mountain, about 200 yards high in West Texas. Wasn't the biggest mountain but with cactus and staying low, it was a climb while crawling on all 4's. We knew the Aoudad were in the valley below, and we literally climbed up the back side of a...
What's your favorite Sheep camo ?
I do know CO has orange laws, but not sure if it applies to sheep.
I hunted Aoudad, and the guide made me remove my orange vest, & my solid-colored outerwear. Full camo only.
